30 beats on Beat it !
Better than New Year's !
I also made a recording of this if I can find it in my storage and get it digitize I will submit it. It was made in about a 1/3 back from the stage to the soundboard in the center; with a Audio Technica 811 microphones on to a JVC Kd-2 with super A.N.R.S. noise reduction which is far better than Dolby B and comparable to Dolby C!
If anyone can help me digitize this you can e-mail me ray_aug@hotmail.com I also made Reconstruction complete at the Santa Monica Civic and several Weather Report shows etc.

China Doll!
I was there, and this was only my second China Doll, but wow, it is remarkable. I never knew about the acoustic soundcheck from this show with Youngblood and Searchin'. Too bad the Dead didn't play these the next night during the acoustic set. I had forgotten how good the pre-NYE shows were this run with the especially crisp first sets.

easily the greatest china doll EVER i shit you not! , seriously none even come close the 73 versions are sweet lyrically, but this is the only one when a jam like this to end it

Average show
For fans of Beat It, this is a good version. Althea, Let It Grow are nice.
Not a bad show, but I don't think this is better than New Years.
